We will meet at the designated time and location of our choice. You can come expecting a stress-free and fun photo session… without the stuffy or posed feeling of traditional photos. Feel free to bring along some of your favorite music to enjoy.  After the session- you can expect to hear from me in about 2 weeks with a password to view your images. [or when I post a few teaser shots on my Facebook page or blog.]

For family or group sessions, I would recommend staying away from the same color of shirts and pants.  Don’t be afraid to incorporate a couple of colors or patterns.  When in doubt, just ask me!   You can get some ideas by simply taking a look through some of my photos.  Outfits that are a little more dressy tend to look better in photos.  Stay away from jeans with holes and shirts with logos.  For most sessions- feel free to bring extra outfits so that I can help you decide.

All of our sessions are on-location, not in studio.  If you don’t know of any cool places in mind, leave it to me and I will take you places that will look best with your clothing and your style.  That might mean doing a portrait shoot in your home.  Contact me, and we can go over specifics.

Yes.  I do more than a basic retouch on all purchased prints.  I work some “Heather Cherie Magic” on them to create that “wow” factor.

Yes.  Most people change in their car or at a coffee shop or gas station during our sessions.  We can take some time to go through all of your outfits, pairing them with the locations and all people who are going to be in your portraits.

No. The session fee is for my time and talent.  It also covers basic touch-up to all of your images, as well as the “Heather Cherie Magic”.

Yes. Just make sure to talk with me about it ahead of time, and we’ll look for some pet-friendly locations.

Preferably before 2 weeks.

Maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 32-34 weeks to prevent from either being too uncomfortable to “pose” in a flattering manner or from cutting it too close to baby’s birth.

Missouri weather is quite unpredictable.  If it’s cloudy, GREAT!  Clouds actually help.  If it’s raining, we reschedule! (unless you have a special request for photos in the rain!)
